The Manor House

Nestled in the breathtaking countryside, the Manor House stands as a testament to timeless elegance and historic charm. With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, this beautifully spacious detached three-story residence boasts origins dating back to the early 17th century. (Note: We also offer three additional properties on-site, accommodating up to 28 people in total.) As you meander along the long sweeping drive, the grandeur of the Manor House comes into view, framed by outstanding far-reaching views of the picturesque farmland that surrounds it.

Stepping through the entrance hallway, you’re greeted by the heart of the home: the fully equipped kitchen. Adorned with granite worktops and a central island, this culinary haven also features a dining area that comfortably seats 14 guests. Beyond lies another dining area, offering access to the lawned gardens and nearby woodland.

A ground floor cloakroom adds convenience to this sprawling layout.

To the front of the house, the lounge awaits, adorned with an imposing log-burning stove and panoramic views that stretch across two elevations, basking in sunlight. A single step leads to additional seating, perfect for moments of relaxation or lively conversation. Ascending the stairs to the first floor reveals two bedrooms to the rear, each boasting three single beds (which can be linked to form doubles) and their own en suite bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet, and hand basin.

Two additional bedrooms grace the front of this level, one offering a king-size double sleigh bed and the other adorned with two single beds and uninterrupted views.

A traditional-style general bathroom awaits, featuring a roll-top bath, double shower area, marble washstand with basin, and toilet. A further general bathroom offers a double-sized shower cubicle, toilet, and hand basin. Badgers Wood

This idyllic retreat, part of the Taddington Barns collection which also includes Robins Nest, Swifts Retreat, and The Manor House, has been meticulously restored to reflect its character, with exposed beams, wooden floors, and carefully coordinated fabrics and furnishings enhancing its charm.

As you approach the accommodation, a long sweeping drive welcomes you, leading to private parking for the barns. Enter the south-facing property, where excellent views and sun abound throughout the day. The main entrance hall sets the stage, with the accommodation ingeniously arranged upside down to provide interest and character.

Step into the ground-floor bedrooms, each boasting beamed ceilings for added character. To your right, the main bedroom features two single beds and its own en suite shower room, while the second bedroom offers a king-size double bed and a further en suite shower room. The third bedroom is furnished with two adult-sized bunk beds, perfect for accommodating guests of all ages.

A general bathroom completes the ground-floor layout, providing additional convenience.
