The hamlet of Upper Hulme and The Roaches is well known for its striking rock formation and beautiful green countryside, famous for its climbing and walking opportunities. The cottage is just below the main entrance to the Roaches, nestled on the hills below and over looking Tittesworth Reservoir.
There are two pubs nearby- The Lazy Trout in Meerbrook (a short drive or 25 min walk through the fields) or Ye Old Rock Inn, in Upper Hulme. Upper Hulme is the hamlet through which you will pass as you drive to the cottage. It is just off the A53 between the towns Leek and Buxton. The Tea Rooms along the main road below The Roaches, sell delicious day time snacks and lunches.
