There are two pubs nearby- The Lazy Trout in Meerbrook (a short drive or 25 min walk through the fields) or Ye Old Rock Inn, in Upper Hulme. Upper Hulme is the hamlet through which you will pass as you drive to the cottage. It is just off the A53 between the towns Leek and Buxton. The Tea Rooms along the main road below The Roaches, sell delicious day time snacks and lunches.
